Primos CR
Individual wrinkle depth
Small wrinkles develop over the course of life, and these can get significantly worse depending on age and the demands placed on the skin. This particularly affects the area around the eyes. In order to show the effects of products intended to reduce wrinkle depth, we can take PRIMOS optical 3D in vivo skin measurements (Phaseshift Rapid In Vivo Measurement Of Skin) using a PRIMOS CR from Canfield Scientific, Inc.). In this process, a pattern made up of parallel lines is projected onto a specific area of skin and photographed using a CCD camera. The slightest variations in skin surface height disturb the parallel line pattern and make it possible to measure the wrinkle depth. The depth of a wrinkle is calculated by selecting the shape of a cross-section and measuring the absolute depth of the wrinkle. Comparing before-and-after data makes the effects of your product quantifiable and qualifiable.
