Quality management

You can put your trust in the quality of our tests.

We strive not only to offer our customers product testing, but also to guarantee expert advice in all matters relating to dermatology, biology and food science.

This is what our vast and highly qualified team stands for. Because we don’t just want to deliver good service, we want our work to lead to reliable, tangible results for us and our customers. Our aim is to research and assess cosmetic products using dermatological and scientific methods so that these can be used safely and their efficacy can be measured and compared.

Here at Dermatest®, we are driven by a passion to deliver high quality and accuracy in what we do. Dermatest’s quality management system has been certified to the international standard DIN EN ISO 9001 and is audited by TÜV Rheinland. What’s more, we seek to set cosmetics testing on a new, broad and secure scientific basis while improving continuously.

TÜV Rheinland

Certification

Trust is good, inspection is better.

We have structured our processes to meet the strict requirements of TÜV Rheinland and have been audited successfully to ISO 9001 2015.
Our quality management system has been successfully validated by TÜV Rheinland: “Dermatest® has modern equipment enabling contract research and product testing to be guaranteed to a high quality standard. Dermatest® is familiar with the current requirements of the EC Cosmetics Directive and provides this safety assessment for its customers.”

However, we were particularly pleased about one phrase which TÜV totally found worth mentioning in its report: “The high level of commitment from Dermatest® and its employees…”. We also view the certificate as validation of our quality claim “Taking your success personally”.

Good Clinical Practice (GCP)

Naturally, all studies are carried out in compliance with the requirements of the current Cosmetics Regulation and under professional dermatological control.

This ensures maximum protection for test subjects and manufacturers. However, our tests go beyond the applicable laws and standards of the cosmetics industry; we conduct all our studies in accordance with good clinical practice (GCP).

The focus is on protection of the study participants, their informed, written consent, and the quality of the study results. GCP represents internationally recognised guidelines based on ethical and scientific standards for carrying out clinical studies on pharmaceutical products. Our clinical dermatology tests on cosmetic products follow GCP as closely as possible.

In particular, if our customers want their study to be published in internationally recognised academic journals, they need to bear in mind factors such as the ethics committee, study protocol and consent. We can include these in your individual study.
