pH value

Our skin has a natural acid mantle, or barrier, which is maintained by skin hydration and the natural excretion of carbonic acid. This slightly acidic environment promotes the growth of helpful microorganisms while at the same time inhibiting the growth of pathogenic microorganisms and thus contributes significantly to the health of the skin. As a manufacturer of products coming into extensive contact with skin, you need to be aware of how your product affects the skin’s protective acid mantle. We can therefore record the skin’s pH value for you, using the PH905 skin pH meter (Courage + Khazaka electronic GmbH, measuring range: pH 0-12, accuracy: ± pH 0.1), after using your product when compared with an untreated control area.
