DandruffMeter

The effect of cosmetic products and haircare products on the amount and size of dandruff can be demonstrated with the use of a DA20 DandruffMeter (Courage + Khazaka electronic GmbH). Dandruff is collected from the scalp by combing it out and transferring it to a Petri dish with a dark background. After photographing the Petri dish, the DandruffMeter DA20 software determines the size of the dandruff, the distribution of size categories, the absolute quantity and the area covered with dandruff as a percentage value. Through the use of a before-and-after comparison, claims regarding the efficacy of your product can be made, for example, regarding the reduction in number or size of dandruff.
